SUMMER 2026
SUMMER 2026
Jan Chadwick GRCA President,
Miners' Village Vice President and
Landscape Chair
Greetings Neighbors!
Happy Summer to all of you! We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful community, and have surroundings that invite us to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll through your Village, a good long walk along our miles of nature trails, or a visit to the American River Parkway, summer in Gold River has it all! And you might just meet a new neighbor when out and about! A big hand to our GRCA landscape vendor and all the landscape committee members that keep our Gold River community lush and enjoyable.
You may have noticed the Gold River Town Centre now has a Sunday Market! Various vendors are featured. You can pick up something for yourself, get a gift, sample some coffee, or score some fresh produce. The fun starts at 9AM on Sundays. The market will also be featuring some additional events as well. Our Town Centre is still experiencing a lot of vacancy. GRCA is in communication with the Town Centre’s owner and hoping to receive updates on prospective vendors they are securing. In the meantime, please support all the wonderful businesses we have.
Along with you, Miners’ Village is where I live. The prolific blooms of the various Crepe Myrtles against our green grass is such a welcoming sight when I come into the Village! Randy and the crew at GP have been working hard for us. We recently had a Landscape Town Hall where GP gave us some ideas of renovations done in other villages. Randy and Madi also answered questions from you. The board listened to what you suggested for upgrades and are taking those concerns and ideas into consideration. Thank you for your participation!
AND… how about our freshly seal coated streets! That puts the cherry on top!
Best Wishes,
Jan Chadwick

Hi neighbors!
I’m honored to serve on your Miner’s Village Homeowners Board. It’s such a pleasure to serve with a cohesive group of volunteers who are truly vested in continuing to make our community a desirable place to live. I was added to the Board in December 2025 and currently serve as your Treasurer. You will be pleased to know that our village is financially very strong due to past decades of responsible decision making.
In my role, I provide my fellow board members with the financial status and advice that will balance our fiscal spending with the desire to preserve the welcoming environment and standards we have in Miner’s Village.

I have had the privilege of meeting with many of you as a board director and chair person of the architectural and communication committees for the past 18 months. I am impressed with the diversity and experience of many of our residents that continues to add so much value and depth to living here in Miners’ Village.
The architectural committee, along with the GRCA staff is tasked with educating the community and enforcing the guidelines that we all agreed to when we moved here. We have recently completed the repairs identified during last year’s village walk conducted by board members, the village manager and the GRCA Compliance officer. Some of the repairs were significant and some were cosmetic. With the newly sealed roads, combined with ongoing and future landscape improvements, Miners’ Village will be looking good for some time!
The communication committee has been able to build and publish our Miners’ Village website earlier this year. This effort now provides a tool for both the board and the residents to access information and facilitate communication. It is our hope that residents will use this site as their bookmarked “go to” place for all Miners related issues. We hope that this activity will also result in a few residents that would like to submit letters, stories or suggestions that we can share with the neighborhood.
It has been a pleasure to serve you and I hope to see you out on the trails.
This could be you!
Or your neighbors, if you would like to submit a brief biography or story for us to share.
The town hall meeting on Jan 7th was a good start and we hope to build on that momentum. Stay tuned for the next meeting but in the meantime please access the survey and keep writing emails.
We can feature a MVP (Miners' Village pet) with a photo and brief bio, so you'll know who to say hi to on your walk in the neighborhood.
